Faith In Action

At Sacred Heart we believe that our faith in Jesus compels us to action. We follow the principles of Catholic Social Teaching which help guide our actions. These are:

  • The dignity of the human person

  • We are called to live as a family and community

  • Rights and responsibilities

  • We are called to stewardship

  • An option for the poor and vulnerable

  • The dignity and rights of workers

  • Solidarity

  • Promotion of peace

These principles are woven through our whole curriculum and into the life of the wider school. The pupils of Sacred Heart School are encouraged and supported to love our global neighbours, fight for justice and peace, look after the world we live in and give to the poor. Pope Francis says we should work for the good of all people and at Sacred Heart we are doing just that.
