National Story Telling Week

KS2 Short Story Competition

KS2 Twisted Fairytale Competition

In January, our KS2 pupils were provided with the opportunity to take part in this year's National Story-Telling Week competition. The competition involved writing an engaging 'twisted fairytale' based on some of the childrens' most beloved childhood stories. Miss Barrow had excellent fun reading all of the entries and the winners of the competition were annouced in Monday's assembly.

In 3rd place is Max from 3J who wrote a fantastic mash-up of Jack and The Beanstalk and Rapunzel.

In 2nd place is Joshua from 5S who wrote his unique version of Peter Pan named...Peter Panda!

Finally, in 1st place is Lily-May from 4G who wrote a very comical and quick-witted story about Goldilocks and The Three Pigs...yes that's right - pigs!

The winning story was read out to all of our KS2 pupils and the winners were thrilled to receive their prizes. Thank you so much to all of the 77 children who participated in the competition and we hope that you participate again next year to win some brilliant prizes.
